EWDD Rapid Response Team: Virtual Resource Presentations for affected 99 Cent Only Stores Employees




In partnership with the City of Los Angeles Mayor's Office, the EWDD’s Rapid Response Team is holding daily virtual information sessions to assist all affected 99 Cent Only Stores employees. There will be two sessions a day, English from 10:00-11:00am and Spanish sessions from 1:00-2:00pm.

These presentations will cover the following topics:
  • Help workers make sense of available support services like Unemployment Insurance and other programs to ease the transition
  • Provide resources such as job search assistance, career resources, and financial management
All 14 WorkSource Centers are available to answer questions about being laid off and can assist with future employment opportunities.



VIRTUAL PRESENTATIONS


During the orientations, affected employees will learn about job opportunities, unemployment benefits, health care, training and other services offered by the Rapid Response team. All services will be provided free of cost.
