Veterans Services office at the Northeast Los Angeles WorkSource Center, operated by EWDD partner Goodwill of Southern California
If you have been impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak, EWDD wants to help. Visit our COVID-19 Resources Page to access resources and information for the community.

EWDD’s BusinessSource, WorkSource and YouthSource Centers continue to operate, with some centers offering limited, scheduled in-person appointments. Please contact your local center before visiting to allow staff to time to prepare and maintain social distancing according to public safety guidelines. However, all major events, including job fairs and workshops, are postponed until the COVID-19 health crisis subsides.

You've served your country and understand the unique challenges faced by Veterans and their families. Let us help you with your next challenge, a new career.

You are welcome and eligible for the Veterans Initiative Program (VIP) at any of our WorkSource Centers and Portals (America’s Job Centers of California), located across the Los Angeles area. Each location will provide access to the following FREE SERVICES:
  • Intake/Assessment
  • Personalized Career Consultation and Planning
  • Job Training and Placement
  • On-The-Job Training
  • Job Retention Services
  • Information and Referral Services
The VIP is a veterans’ employment program offered in all WorkSource Centers and is specifically designed to help vets secure employment through our community partners. For example if a veteran wants to return to school, our VIP can help. We maintain a working relationship with the Los Angeles Community College District, and University of California and California State University systems.

To find out more about the VIP, please contact EWDD at 213-744-7333.

In 2013, Mayor Garcetti created the Office of Veterans Affairs to work collaboratively with government agencies and community based organizations, and advocate for veterans across the region. This site serves as a portal for Los Angeles veterans to find housing, employment, medical benefits and mental health services.
